The stainless steel material of crowfoots is the best material to handle general works and jobs. The stainless steel chicago or crowfoot coupling has more advantage than other material in terms of rusting, breaking e.t.c

The brass material is also good for all application especially when their is electricity conduction and salty water.

The galvanise material of crowfoots resist rust. They are the most cheapest and most commonest among the other two above.

Types of Chicago or crowfoot couplings.

1). Chicago inthread coupling: the Chicago or Crowfoot Coupling is a type with female Npt threading. They are used on the male Npt king nipples(threaded pipe) or fittings.

2). Chicago out-thread coupling: the universal or crowfoot coupling out -threading is a type with male Npt pipe thread. They are connected to a female Npt fitting or pipe.

3). Crowfoot or chicago coupling hose -end: the hose -end type of universal coupling is a type that is fitted into a hose directly it be be hydraulic hoses . They are used with a hose clamp or a hose sleeve to grimp it to the hose body manually or with a Crimping machine respectively.
