SAE hydraulic fittings

SAE standard is a general specification 37 degree flareless and flared hydraulic tube fittings, as well as the O-ring fittings and plugs

SAE fittings are manufactured to provide full flow connection in the hydraulic systems and services.

SAE stands for The Society Of Automotive Engineers. They define Jic flared and flareless fittings.

SAE hydraulic fittings are used in a very high pressure fluid power applications. Both the crimper , reusable and Adapters.

Two major SAE standard includes:

1). The SAE J514
2). The SAE MIL-f-18866.

The SAE J514 standard is the new standard replacing the old military specification ( ms16142).

Three components of of SAE JIC fittings

a). The Sleeve: it is the part of the fitting that compresses the tube fitting to the flared nuts and to the hydraulic hose

B). The fittings: the pipe fittings holding the flare nuts.

C). The flared nut.

  3. I want my hose to have more pressure. I am going to be cleaning my deck by myself, so I need more water pressure. I am looking for ways that I can do this. I'm thinking that getting a different fitting would probably be able to do this. I currently don't own any fittings for my hose.
